Dear everyone,
About two and a half years ago I was walking on campus trying to think of what kind of enlightning classes I wanted to take when the thought struck me that Arabic would be a rather fun language. I had only started my Archaeology major a year earlier and thought that Arabic would be a nice addition, especially since I was interested in the Middle East area. So I signed up for a 101 class for the winter. Then I went to Egypt. Then I came back and took the rest of the classes through 202 and decided that I had done so much work I might as well just go on the study abroad to Amman, Jordan. After all, you only live once (YOLO)...
This study abroad is only ten days away. The time for planning and packing is approaching. And therefor, also blog creating.
I will be living in Amman with about thirty other students from Brigham Young University, where we will be taking classes and interacting with the locals to achieve the best language skills possible. They have already sent us the map of Amman that they expect us all to have memorized before we arrive in a week and a half.
Four months of adventure and new experiences ahead! Can't wait!

So nonchalant, "Then I went to Egypt. Then I came back..."
